The design starts from the surrounding urban fabric and organises the building around a calm central void, balancing light, shade and proportion.

The journey from the public realm to the sacred.

The building is shaped by its urban context. Three surrounding streets define a disciplined footprint, grounded in a strict geometric grid. Within this square, the main hall is overlaid following the classic square and double square proportion.

Rather than presenting itself as a monument, the project mediates between city and users through a shaded in-between space that slows the visitor’s movement and prepares the mind before entering the interior.
